About the therapist

Leslie Collord is a licensed mental health counselor providing outpatient services for adults and teens ages 13+ on a range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, trauma, and burnout and stress-related disorders. Between Us Counseling is located within the Fort Vancouver Historic Site and offers weekend appointments as well as weekday availability.

Approach

I use a collaborative, evidence-based approach using client needs, goals, and strengths to guide the therapeutic process. I use various modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and The Gottman Method.

Education and Experience

I received a master’s degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling Psychology from Lewis & Clark Graduate School in 2017 and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Portland State University in 2015. Previously I worked in community mental health settings with adults, teens, children, and families on a range of issues including anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, trauma, and significant life transitions including divorce, death, and blended family issues.
